San Francisco Day One

I loved my mini vacation to Norcal last weekend, so much that I wish I never left and already planning my next trip back! It always surprises me how different NorCal is from SoCal and only being 7 hours away by car. It was nice to get away from the summer weather and beaches for some real fall seasons and to spend some quality time with my best friend Marissa who lives up there.

I also love the how big the Golden Gate Park is and all the different parts to it such as the Japanese Garden and museums like the Academy of Science scattered inside the park . It reminded me a lot of the Botanical Garden in Melbourne, Australia, my old stomping grounds when I was studying abroad over there. I really wish we had something similar in SoCal and having some public transportation to get there would be nice too. Aside from getting lost and only having an hour in the Academy of Science, taking the bus from downtown to the park was an interesting journey and really made me feel like a local. I didn't make good use of my $25 day pass for the museum but I'm definitely planning another trip for the Nightlife that they hold there on Thursday nights. Make sure to check out the baby ostriches there too!
